One album we would definitely like to introduce to you is Dolor by the Colombian group Tumbas. A quintet with the power of a full-grown tropical storm from Bogota, who have caused quite a stir with their very own sound far beyond the borders of the South American country. Dark, rough and with a lot of socio-critical lyrics, they create a sound that reminds you of the scene greats of the past, but on the other hand, they have a constant line of their own that makes them sound unmistakable. Bass-heavy and peppered with fast riffs, the listener has no time to escape the driving songs, especially when the vocals push you back and forth. The mixture of punk, deathrock, post-punk and the like paired with the passion and honesty of Latin American “dark” music make Dolor an album that not only convinces fans, but also generates new fans.

Ein Album das wir euch auf jeden Fall noch vorstellen möchten ist Dolor von der kolumbianischen Gruppe Tumbas. Ein Quintett mit der Power eines ausgewachsenen Tropensturm aus Bogota, die mit ihrem ganz eigenen Sound auch weit über die Grenzen des südamerikanischen Landes für einiges an Aufregung gesorgt hat. Dunkel, rau und mit jeder Menge gesellschaftskritischen Texten kreieren sie einen Sound der zwar ziemlich schnell an die Szene-Größen vergangener Tage erinnert, aber auf der anderen Seite eine konstant eigene Linie fährt der sie unverkennbar klingen lässt. Basslastig und mit schnellen Riffs gespickt hat der Hörer gar keine Zeit sich dem treibenden Songs zu entziehen, erst recht nicht wenn die Vocals einen hin und her schubsen. Die Mischung aus Punk, Deathrock, Post-Punk und ähnlichem gepaart mit der Leidenschaft und Ehrlichkeit lateinamerikanischer “dunkler” Musik machen Dolor zu einem Album das nicht nur Fans überzeugt, sondern jede eben auch neue Fans generiert.
