After the successful release of the first Zeitgeist + sampler now Volume 2 arrives to the already eagerly waiting fans. A new masterpiece by Germany based label Cold Transmission.

As usual, the team of Cold Transmission has taken a close look at the releases of recent months and provided the essence for the fans in the form of 19 really excellent songs. Of course, there are again no borders and limits here, so for example Bleached Heat from British Columbia is included as well as Greece’s Metal Disco. Both of them (all artists of course) have been part of the current, really good playlists for a long time. Special attention was also paid again to the fact that the fans of this series are again confronted with numerous “newcomers” and certainly some new fans can be generated for the bands. A concept that has also been included in the original Zeitgeist series but also with Zeitgeist+ Vol.1. That brought a lot of awareness to the bands.

Also the second version reveals not a single weakness. With a high number of songs on regular samplers you often have one or two songs which are not as strong as the others. With Zeitgeist Vol.2 as well as Vol.1 clear absence, one ingenious song chases the next and brings besides the sound experience the great desire to try out the songs on the dance floor Each of the 19 songs will score, promise. Crisp beats that beg for a dance floor, light and fog. Basically, you can’t be a great scene DJ easier now. Start the sampler, the dance floors will be full to bursting and the people will have their fun until exhaustion. Guaranteed.

As a small note, you hear again and again from many people from the scene, how boring it has become and how much they miss the innovation in dark music. Everything was better in former times and the music had “black/dark soul” at that time. Here is the proof that they are wrong! The scene and especially the musicians, bands are better than ever before. Thanks to the bands represented on the sampler and Cold Transmission!

Nach dem erfolgreichen Release des ersten Zeitgeistes Sampler kommt nun vom deutschen Szene Label Cold Transmission, Volume 2 zu den bereits sehnsüchtig wartenden Fans.

Wie gewohnt hat sich das Team von Cold Transmission sich die Veröffentlichungen der letzten Monate genau unter die Lupe genommen und für die Fans die Essenz in Form von 19 wirklich hervorragenden Songs bereitgestellt. Natürlich gibt es hier wieder keine Grenzen und Limits, so ist zum Beispiel Bleached Heat aus British Columbia ebenso dabei wie Griechenlands Metal Disco. Beide sind aus den aktuellen, wirklich guten Playlists schon lange nicht mehr wegzudenken. Besonderes Augenmerk wurde ebenfalls wieder darauf gelegt, dass die Fans dieser Reihe wieder mit zahlreichen “Newcomern” konfrontiert werden und sich sicherlich einige neue Fans für die Bands generieren lassen. Ein Konzept, dass ich auch durch die Original Zeitgeist Serie aber auch Mit Zeitgeist+ Vol.1 wunderbar durchgesetzt hat und so mancher Band einen großen Schub im Bekanntheitsgrad gebracht hat.

Auch die zweite Version offenbart keine einzige Schwäche. Bei einer hohen Anzahl von Songs hat man gerne mal auf regulären Samplern den einen oder anderen Song der nicht so stark ist wie die anderen. Bei Zeitgeist Vol.2 ebenso wie Vol.1 klare Fehlanzeige, ein genialer Song jagt den nächsten und bringt neben dem Klangerlebnis natürlich die große Lust die Songs auf der Tanzfläche auszuprobieren und auch hier punktet jeder der 19 Songs. Knackige Beats, die nach Tanzfläche, Licht und Nebel betteln. Im Grunde kann man jetzt nicht einfacher guter Szene DJ werden. Starte den Sampler, die Tanzflächen werden zum bersten voll sein und die Leute ihren Spaß. Garantiert.

Als kleine Anmerkung noch, man hört immer wieder von vielen Leuten aus der Szene, wie langweilig sie geworden ist und wie sehr die Innovation fehlen würde. Das früher alles besser war und die Musik damals noch “schwarze Seele” hatte. Hier ist der Beweis, das es nicht so ist! Die Szene und vor allem die Musiker, Bands sind besser als je zuvor. Danke an die auf dem Sampler vertretenden Bands und an Cold Transmission!
