New Song // Gallows – VAZUM

Gallows - Vazum

English

Just in time for the new year, our favorite Detroit duo Vazum aka Zach Vazum and Emily Sturm have released another new song for the fans. Gallows is the name of the song and is as usual 100 percent VAZUM feeling. Of course, there is an expressive video for the song.

2021 was a successful year for Vazum, two excellent and fan loved major releases called V+ and Unrated V. Impressively, the two artists showed how creative one can be in the field of music. At the same time they show how music can be combined with images to create something great. Vazum is no longer a simple band, it is much more, it is an experience for the senses.

The Gallows release ends the year 2021, but still makes a great statement for 2022, because it shows how far the band has come in the meantime, because Gallows comes not only in a plaintive and dripping with emotions Deathgaze (A mix of Deathrock and Shoegaze) version, but at the same time with an electronic version with proper momentum and coolness. The former captivates the listener and takes him on an emotionally intense journey. Guitars that float around the listener and together with the vocals draw an intense picture that hits you with an abundance of feelings. You can feel the pain and lamentations that the song carries with it abundantly clear. A song with a lot of “fire”. The “Lost Forest Mix”, on the other hand, paints a much cooler picture. Electronic but no less emotional, the song gets something ghostly that pleasantly crawls over your skin.

It wouldn’t be the Vazum Duo if there wasn’t a visual component in the form of a cool video that conjures up a mood all its own in a wintry forest ambience with yellow leaves and the first snowflakes. Emily fits perfectly into the picture as the bride and Zach, as usual in all black, then completes the whole thing to the coherent ambience. A dream? A story? Plenty of room to let his thoughts circle around the video.

All in all, another great release from Zach Pliska and Emily Sturm, who we hope to see a lot more of in 2022.
