The energetic duo Mängelexemplar is back with a really great video for their song Hej Hej Hej.

The song is not completely new for music connoisseurs, because it comes from the album Non Plus Ultra, which is overflowing with catchy tunes, and which the two musicians released almost exactly a year ago and earned exclusively positive reviews. Personally, we expected a video for exactly the song a little earlier, because it is extraordinarily well suited for a video. Now the time has come and as usual the video is closely built to the theme of the song. Criticism with a good portion of fun. So it goes without saying that the backdrop for the video shows all imaginable forms of consumption and thereby typical for Mängelexemplar presents itself in bright colors. So it’s no wonder that the song once again digs deep into the mind and likes to recall to all situations. Especially now in our time, no visit to the discount store goes by without the song surprising us at least once.

But it wouldn’t be Mängelexemplar if something off the mainstream comes up with something cool that you see pretty much rarely. The video was enchanted with the help of Jérôme Lozano in cooperation with Lifecast, Hugh Hou, Thomas Thiel, Saskia Grebenstein and ela_selected into a brilliant VR experience, so that you feel in the middle of it instead of just being there. A cool idea that will surely go down well and maybe animate one or the other band to create similar videos.

A great video for one of our favorite songs. Wonderfully done.

Das energiegeladene Duo Mängelexemplar ist zurück mit einem richtig tollem Video zu ihrem Song Hej Hej Hej.

Ganz neu ist der Song nicht für Musikkenner, denn er stammt aus dem mit Ohrwürmern geradezu überfüllten Album Non Plus Ultra, das die beiden Musiker vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr veröffentlichten und ausschließlich positive Kritiken erntete. Persönlich erwarteten wir für genau den Song etwas früher ein Video, weil er sich außerordentlich gut dafür eignet. Nun ist es soweit und wie gewohnt ist das Video eng zur Thematik des Songs aufgebaut. Kritik mit einer ordentlichen Portion Spaß. So versteht es sich, das die Kulisse fürs Video alle erdenklichen Formen des Konsums zeigt und dabei typisch für Mängelexemplar sich in knalligen Farben präsentiert. Kein Wunder also, das der Song wieder einmal sich tief in den Verstand gräbt und sich gerne wieder zu allen Situationen ins Gedächtnis ruft. Gerade jetzt in unserer Zeit vergeht kein Besuch im Discounter, an dem uns nicht mindestens einmal der Song überrascht.

Aber es wäre nicht Mängelexemplar, wenn man etwas Abseits des Mainstreams sich etwas cooles einfallen lässt, das man so ziemlich selten sieht. Das Video wurde mit Hilfe von Jérôme Lozano in Kooperation mit Lifecast, Hugh Hou, Thomas Thiel, Saskia Grebenstein und ela_selected in ein geniales VR-Erlebnis verzaubert, so das man sich mittendrin statt nur dabei fühlt. Eine coole Idee, die sicherlich gut ankommt und vielleicht die eine oder andere Band animiert ähnliche Videos zu kreieren.
