The most impressive collaboration of recent years is back. Antipole aka Karl Morten Dahl and Paris Alexander once again enchant entire musical genres and landscapes with their incomparable sound. Crystalline is pure musical pleasure and will easily make it into the top selection of the year.

The releases are coming one after the other and it seems that the music industry, paralyzed by Corona, is now catching up with everything that has been left behind over the years. One extraordinary release follows the other. To keep up or even to stand out of the really good mass is anything but easy. This is exactly where the two musicians of the new album come into play. Karl Morten Dahl from Norway with his Project Antipole as well as the Brit Paris Alexander, who shine bright like a supernove between blinking stars. Crystalline offers incredibly harmonizing arrangements of guitars, synths and vocals that seem out of this world. With the first song Perceptions you are already in the middle of this dream world of music. It hits you right in the heart despite its softness and even if you can hear the coolness of Coldwave everywhere, the music warms the heart of the listener. Security and familiarity this album offers as well as an intense experience. One may gladly close one’s eyes and let oneself drift, while the unmistakable sounds of Karl’s guitar buzz around one and the vocals of Paris trickle into one’s ears. If you think easy listening now, you’re miles off the mark. The two multi-talented musicians are perfectionists with a lot of attention to detail and if you take your time and listen to the songs with a lot of silence and without distraction with headphones, you will experience the whole, huge sound spectrum of the two musicians.
Enough written, Crystalline is something that you must have experienced yourself. To describe the sensory experience of this masterpiece with mere words is almost impossible.

Die eindrucksvollste Kooperation der letzten Jahre ist wieder da. Antipole aka Karl Morten Dahl und Paris Alexander verzaubern wieder einmal ganze musikalische Genres und Landschaften mit ihrem unvergleichlichen Sound. Crystalline ist purer musikalischer Genuss und wird es spielend in die Top Auswahl des Jahres schaffen.

Es geht Schlag auf Schlag mit den Releases und man hat den Anschein, das sich die durch Corona gelähmte Musikindustrie nun alles aufholt was über die Jahre liegen geblieben ist. Ein außergewöhnliches Release folgt auf das andere. Mitzuhalten oder gar aus der wirklich guten Masse gut sichtbar herauszustechen ist alles andere als leicht. Genau hier kommen die beiden Musiker des neuen Albums ins Spiel. Karl Morten Dahl aus Norwegen mit seinem Project Antipole in Spiel genauso wie der Brite Paris Alexander, die nun schon seit einiger Zeit musikalisch eng miteinander arbeiten scheinen zwischen den ganzen hellen Sternchen wie eine Supernova. Crystalline bietet unglaublich harmonisierende Arrangements aus Gitarren, Synths und Vocals die nicht von dieser Welt zu scheinen. Mit dem ersten Song Perceptions ist man schon mittendrin in dieser Traumwelt aus Musik. Sie trifft dich trotz ihrer Sanftheit mitten ins Herz und auch wenn man die Kühle von Coldwave überall vernimmt, so sehr erwärmt die Musik das Herz des Hörers. Geborgenheit und Vertrautheit bietet dieses Album ebenso wie ein intensives Erlebnis. Man darf gerne die Augen schließen und sich treiben lassen, während die unverkennbaren Klänge von Karls Gitarre um einen schwirren und die Vocals von Paris einem ins Ohr rieseln. Wer jetzt denkt easy listening, der liegt aber kilometerweit daneben. Die beiden Multitalente sind Perfektionisten mit viel Liebe zum Detail und wenn man sich die Zeit nimmt und die Songs mal mit viel Ruhe und ohne Ablenkung mit einem Kopfhörer hört, der wird das ganze, riesengroße Klangspektrum der beiden Musiker erleben.
Genug geschrieben, Crystalline ist etwas das man selber erlebt haben muss. Die Sinneserfahrung die von diesem Meisterwerk ausgehen mit bloßen Worten zu beschreiben, ist eh nahzu unmöglich.
