For many visitors of the Minicave Festival 2021 ended a considerable dry spell in the form of missing live performances. Good that the Minicave team has chosen the right solution and a brilliant opener for the festival. If you search for the Pinoreks on the internet, it’s a bit difficult at first, because you can’t find much information. Nevertheless, the band is in many mouths and has more than a sworn fan base. We, as well as many other guests, had not seen the band live before, but concert veterans urged us not to miss the guys in any case. Word of mouth that worked on many, because quickly formed a large crowd in front of the stage to let the sound affect them.

The sound of the guys can be described as post-punk with small wave influences. From the lyrics already quite dark, the guys pack it but in a consistently danceable and “cheerful” sound package. The rhythm sits after seconds and as also well to observe in the Triptychon the songs ignite neat urge to move in front of the stage. The excellent set really fired up the audience and we’re sure it won the band quite a few more fans. After such a long break a festival can’t start better. Thanks a lot!

Für viele Besucher des Minicave Festivals 2021 endete eine beachtliche Durststrecke in Form von fehlenden Live-Auftritten. Gut das das Minicave Team die passende Lösung und einen genialen Opener für das Festival ausgesucht hat. Wer im Internet die Pinoreks sucht, der hat es Anfangs etwas schwer, denn viel Informationen findet man nicht. Dennoch ist die Band in vielen Mündern und hat mehr als nur eine eingeschworene Fangemeinde. Wir hatten die Band, wie auch viele andere Gäste zuvor noch nicht live gesehen, doch Konzert-Veteranen rieten uns eindringlich dazu auf, die Jungs auf keinen Fall zu verpassen. Mundpropaganda die auf viele gewirkt hat, denn rasch bildete sich eine große Menge vor der Bühne um den Sound auf sich wirken zu lassen.

Den Sound der Jungs kann man als Post-Punk mit kleinen Wave Einflüssen bezeichnen. Von den Texten her schon recht düster, verpacken es die Jungs aber in ein durchgängig tanzbares und “heiteres” Klangpaket. Der Rhythmus sitzt nach Sekunden und wie auch im Triptychon gut zu beobachten entfachen die Songs ordentlich Bewegungsdrang vor der Bühne. Das hervorragende Set hat das Publikum ordentlich angeheizt und wir sind uns sicher, es hat der Band noch so einige Fans beschert. Nach einer so langen Pause kann ein Festival nicht besser starten.
