Sun’s Spectrum are on our list with a brand new album and the album turns out to be a real masterpiece, every song is a big surprise.

The fact that the two Italians Livio (vocals) and Daniele (keyboards, programming) from Udine have already caught our attention on the Zeitgeist Vol. 2 sampler on the Cold Transmission label shows that Sun’s Spectrum are not an unknown band. Finding yourself on one of the label’s samplers is quite an achievement, because there are so many bands who want to be on the sampler but places are limited. In addition, they seem to have made such an impression with their unique sound that they are now officially part of the Cold Transmission family label.

The Silence After The Fall is finally the long-awaited album from the Italians, who had already given us a little insight into the upcoming songs with “Pain Is Just A Noise”. With 10 unique songs, the wait for the longplayer was definitely worth it. The duo show all their strengths right from the opener God Is A Machine. Styles upon styles and genres are mixed to create a multi-faceted, yet equally straightforward sound that immediately captivates the listener with its sophisticated melodies. It’s hard to decide how to categorize the sound. Explosive and made for the dance floor or deeply emotional and wonderful for drifting off into dreamy worlds. Basically, Livio and Daniele manage both. Maybe it’s because of the many mixed styles. Sometimes you are confronted with technoid, powerful and almost devastating musical structures, which stubbornly compete with industrial music, only to be embedded in butter-soft synthwave and new wave. Dark, emotional and, above all, catchy.
Despite the many styles, the album seems to have been cast from a single mold, with not a single failure or boring parts. We would say that the two Italians have released an album that has qualified for the Top 20 selection in 2023. We are excited to see what the future holds. We expect great things.

Mit brandneuem Album stehen Sun´s Spectrum auf unserer Liste und das Album entpuppt sich als echtes Meisterwerk, denn eine musikalische Überraschung jagt die nächste.

Das Sun´s Spectrum keine unbekannte Band ist, zeigt das die beiden aus Udine stammenden Italiener Livio (vocals) und Daniele (Keybords, Programming) uns schon auf dem Zeitgeist Vol. 2 Sampler des Cold Transmission Labels aufgefallen sind. Sich auf einem der Sampler des Labels wiederzufinden ist schon eine Leistung, denn das Angebot an Bands ist in der Tat mehr als riesig und die Plätze limitiert. Mehr noch, sie scheinen so viel Eindruck mit ihrem einzigartigen Sound hinterlassen zu haben, das sie nun offiziell zum Familien Label Cold Transmission gehören.

The Silence After The Fall ist nun endlich das lang erwartete Album der Italiener, die uns ja schon mit “Pain Is Just A Noise” einen kleinen Einblick in die kommenden Songs gewährt hatten. Mit 10 einzigartigen Songs hat sich das Warten auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Denn bereits mit dem Opener God Is A Machine zeigt das Duo alle seine Stärken. Es werden Stile über Stile gemischt zu einem facettenreichen, doch ebenso geradlinigen Sound der mit seinen ausgeklügelten Melodien die Hörer auf Anhieb fesselt. Es ist schwer sich zu entscheiden wie man den Sound kategorisieren möchte. Explosiv und für die Tanzfläche gemacht oder doch tiefgründig Emotional und wunderbar um in Traumwelten zu gleiten. Im Grunde schaffen Livio und Daniele beides. Vielleicht liegt es an den vielen Stilen. Mal wird man mit technoiden, kraftvollen und fast schon verwüstenden musikalischen Strukturen konfrontiert, die sich hartnäckig mit dem Industrial wetteifern um danach in butterweichen Synthwave und New Wave gebettet zu werden. Dunkel, emotional und vor allem eingängig.
Trotz der vielen Stile wirkt das Album wie aus einem Guss, kein Ausfall, keine Nullnummer die das Album schmälert. Wir würden sagen, die beiden Italiener haben ein Album veröffentlicht, das sich für die Auswahl der Top 20 in 2023 qualifiziert hat. Wir sind gespannt was die Zukunft bringt. Wir erwarten großartiges.
