What a wonderful evening. Glass Spells from San Diego delivered a great show in Bochum, more precisely at the venue Die Trompete. You can see how great it is in the video or in the photo gallery below.

As you may have already noticed, the duo consisting of Tania and Anthony is one of the first bands I wrote about here on Dark Life Experience. Since that article, they have always been the focus of my attention and not a week goes by without them appearing in my music. With numerous articles, they simply belong to our magazine. The only downer so far was that I had always hoped to see them live, but didn’t really believe it. So I was all the more surprised when I found out – more by chance – about the gig in Bochum. So it’s no wonder that vacation was taken for the day and all other commitments were put on hold.

I arrived early in Bochum and was a little surprised that I wasn’t the first in the queue outside the club. After admission and a wonderful chat at the merch stand, the time had finally come. The duo played full throttle from the first to the last song and people were dancing in front of the stage. Whether young or old, the guests sang along and celebrated the evening. Yes, young and old, we were a little surprised ourselves at the really homogeneous mass of visitors, alternative, normal, young and old. It’s a good sign when music brings everyone together and lets them celebrate with respect for each other.

The set was outstanding, all the songs that Tania and Anthony played reflected their skills and formed a successful cross-section through the history of Glass Spells. There wasn’t a song missing that I would have wished for myself beforehand. There was also a lot of approval for the set from the audience.

After the show, the duo took enough time to talk extensively with the fans and of course me, to be available for photos and to really make the evening a successful event in Die Trompete for everyone. The two musicians made the evening unforgettable and I am already looking forward to the next meeting with Tania and Anthony. Thank you so much for your energy, the good mood that I have been carrying around with me for days and the memories of a long-cherished wish that has finally come true.

Was für ein wundervoller Abend. Glass Spells aus San Diego lieferten eine großartige Show in Bochum, genauer gesagt in der Location Die Trompete ab. Wie toll, könnt ihr im Video oder ganz unten in der Fotogalerie bestaunen.

Wie ihr sicherlich schon mitbekommen habt, ist das Duo bestehen aus Tania und Anthony mit einer der ersten Bands über die ich damals hier auf Dark Life Experience geschrieben habe. Seit dem Artikel stehen sie immer im Focus meiner Aufmerksamkeit und es vergeht keine Woche in dem sie nicht in meiner Musik auftauchen. Mit zahlreichen Artikeln gehören sie einfach zu unserem Magazin dazu. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen war bis jetzt, das ich immer gehofft hatte sie live zu erleben, aber nicht wirklich daran geglaubt habe. Umso überraschter war ich, als ich – mehr durch Zufall – von dem Auftritt in Bochum erfahren hatte. Kein Wunder also, das Urlaub für den Tag eingereicht wurde und alle sonstigen Verpflichtungen auf Eis gelegt wurden.

Früh war ich in Bochum und war doch etwas erstaunt, das ich nicht der erste in der Warteschlange vor dem Club war. Nach dem Einlass und wundervollem Gespräch am Merch-Stand war es dann endlich so weit. Das Duo gab Vollgas vom ersten bis zum letzen Song und vor der Bühne tanzten die Leute. Egal ob jung oder alt, die Gäste sangen mit und feierten den Abend. Ja, jung und alt, wir waren selber etwas überrascht über die wirklich homogene Masse an Besuchern, alternativ, normal, jung und alt. Ein gutes Zeichen, wenn Musik alle Menschen zusammenbringt und mit Rücksicht aufeinander ausgelassen feiern lässt.

Das Set war überragend, alle Songs die Tania und Anthony spielten spiegelten das Können der beiden wieder und bildeten einen gelungenen Querschnitt durch die Geschichte von Glass Spells. Es fehlte kein Song, den ich mir selber vorher gewünscht hätte. Auch aus dem Publikum kam viel Zustimmung für das Set.

Nach der Show nahm sich das Duo noch genügend Zeit um mit den Fans und natürlich mir ausgiebig zu reden, für Fotos bereit zu stehen und den Abend für wirklich jeden zu einem gelungenen Event in der Trompete zu machen. Die beiden Musiker haben den Abend unvergesslich gemacht und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Treffen mit Tania und Anthony. Vielen Dank für eure Energie, die gute Laune die ich schon seit Tagen mit mir herumtrage und die Erinnerungen an einen lang gehegten, aber endlich in Erfüllung gegangenen Wunsch.
