New Song // Girls Made Of Stars – Kiss Of The Whip

Last October, we were in for a miserably long car ride. The weather was lousy and dictated our speed. Luckily we had a few new CDs with us, including the terrific “We’re Not Here” album. The goal was to listen to the promos during the drive and to start thinking about the reviews. We started with the aforementioned album and track 2 – Girls Made Of Stars – destroyed all our goals. We listened to the album several times, but track 2 just did it to us. I don’t know how many times we listened to the song, but we were instantly in love with it. The driving beat, the electronic components fit vibrated through the car and continued their journey on the skin while in the onset of darkness the headlights of the cars and the lights of the city passed us like stars. Somehow it was magical. So who is surprised that the song / the whole album stayed in the car since the first ride and is still in heavy rotation, because we love magical moments.

Now “Girls Made Of Stars” is available as a single release, you also get an instrumental version and the also very strong song “Come Hither”. For us the song was already the top song 2020, it will most likely be for 2021, 2022…

Im Oktober letzten Jahres stand uns eine elend lange Autofahrt bevor. Das Wetter war mies und diktierte uns die Geschwindigkeit. Zum Glück hatten wir ein paar neue CDs dabei, darunter auch das grandiose “We´re Not Here” Album. Ziel war es während der Fahrt die Promos durchzuhören und sich schon mal Gedanken über die Reviews zu machen. Den Anfang machte das zuvor erwähnte Album und Track 2 – Girls Made Of Stars – machte alle vorgenommenen Ziele zunichte. Wir hörten das Album direkt mehrere Male durch, doch Track 2 hatte es uns einfach angetan. Keine Ahnung wie oft wir den Song hörten, auf jeden Fall waren wir instant in den Song verliebt. Der treibende Beat, die elektronischen Komponenten passten vibrierten durchs Auto und setzten ihre Reise auf der Haut fort während in der einsetzenden Dunkelheit die Scheinwerfer der Autos und die Lichter der Stadt wie Sterne an uns vorbei zogen. Irgendwie war es magisch. Wen wundert es also, das der Song / das ganze Album seit der ersten Fahrt im Auto geblieben ist und auch noch immer in der Heavy Rotation ist, denn wir lieben magische Momente.

Nun ist “Girls Made Of Stars” als Auskopplung erhältlich und man bekommt zusätzlich eine instrumentelle Version und den ebenfalls sehr starken Songs “Come Hither”. Für uns war der Song bereits der Top Song 2020, er wird es sehr wahrscheinlich auch für 2021, 2022…
