To survive in the fast-moving world of music is extremely difficult, especially in this day and age and we are all happy when we meet old friends who come to us regularly. Grandeur from Connecticut was one of the first bands we were allowed to write about and we are always on the lookout for new releases from the duo. The Illusion of Power is the long awaited debut album of the two musicians and it is musical perfection.
As mentioned before, the band is full of unique characteristics and a comparison with other bands is not possible. Those who know the band know about this incredible, impressive voice that caresses the skin with its roughness like velvet. In combination with the perfectly tuned instruments, the two musicians create a tonal epic, a world of their own, their own genre. With no less than ten tracks the listener is led into an intensive experience of emotions and sound which leaves a lasting impression. As if the duo wanted to establish new musical definitions or standards for feelings.

We are very happy that the two musicians have managed to make what we have been waiting for so long. To produce an album that is one of the best of our time. Thank you.

In der schnelllebigen Welt der Musik bestand zu haben ist gerade in der heutigen Zeit außerordentlich schwer und umso mehr freuen wir uns, wenn wir auf alte Bekannte treffen die regelmäßig bei uns auftauchen. Grandeur aus Connecticut war mit einer der ersten Bands über die wir schreiben durften und umso mehr freuen wir uns über die neue Veröffentlichung. The Illusion of Power ist das lang ersehnte Debutalbum der beiden Musiker und es ist wirklich außerordentlich gelungen.
Wie schon öfters erwähnt ist die Band voller Alleinstellungsmerkmale und ein Vergleich mit anderen Bands lässt sich gar nicht erst realisieren. Wer die Band kennt weiß um diese unglaubliche, eindrucksvolle Stimme die mit ihrer Rauheit wie Samt über die Haut streichelt. In Verbindung mit den perfekt abgestimmten Instrumenten erschaffen die beiden Musiker ein klangliches Epos, eine eigenen Welt, einen eigenen Stil. Mit gleich zehn Tracks wird der Hörer in ein intensives Erlebnis aus Emotionen und Klang geführt welches bleibenden Eindruck hinterlässt. Als würde das Duo neue musikalische Definitonen bzw. Standards für Gefühle etablieren wollen.

Wir sind unendlich froh, das die beiden Musiker es geschafft haben wo wir so lange drauf gewartet haben, ein Album zu fertigen, welches eines der besten unserer Zeit ist. Danke.
