New Album – Zombies – SEASURFER

Zombies - Seasurfer

Zombies

New releases by Seasurfer are always a bit like playing with fire, once listened to it is too late to escape the songs in any way. The third album also tempts to push other music to the side and let yourself be fully absorbed by the gloomy atmosphere. Already the opener SOS shows imposingly what the duo stands for. Wall of sounds that collapse over you and pull you along powerlessly. Waves of synths that are in harmony with the pulsating basses and stormy guitars to build an impressive musical landscape. Finally it become an almost incomprehensible universe of music with the ethereal voice of Apolonia. A changing universe full of variances, because not only the well-known complexity of Seasurfer remains, but you can feel much more influence than in the previous albums from adjacent genres. Be it coldwave or post-punk, the influences are manifold. Maybe it’s a little bit because mastermind Dirk had a little bit more influence on the album. In Zombies he not only contributed a few vocals, but this time played all the instruments himself.

In addition to the already great experience, the fans can put a cherry on top with the CD edition. You get the 8 track mini-album “The Dreampop Days” as a gift. Dirk is accompanied this time by the vocal power of Elena Alice Fossi from Kirlian Camera and that should put fans of good music in a shopping frenzy.

With a total of 24 incredible tracks, the duo has delivered not only one of the best albums for the year 2020 but a milestone for the entire decade. Other bands will have to be measure against that.

Briefly noted, the duo will perform if all goes well on 15.05.2020 at the Beautiful Noise Festival III in Siegen (Germany). You can get tickets at Eventbrite. We will be there and report to you from the concert.

Zombies
