Lip Led Scream is the latest album from Incirrina and the mega surprise for 2022. 19.08.2022 is the day!
After the much needed summer break and vacations in Europe, the new releases pelt down on the music fans. With the uncountable amount of music, it is difficult to keep track of the great releases. It´s almost possible to oversee some of the great ones. But one album in particular has come to us and we are glad that we were allowed to enjoy the complete album in advance to the smallest detail and testing. Lip Led Scream with its very special kind has even risen as our vacation soundtrack and stubbornly displaced every other music.
The duo, formed back in 2017 and consisting of George Katsanos and Irini Tini, show already with the opener “Not Live” why the album is a musical treat. The sound is cool, not stingy with electronic components and has a beat that properly goads the listener. In combination with the 80s vibe dosed to the point, the duo creates a fast-paced song that you won’t forget and will be a new favorite song in your personal playlist. No less intense, but a little slower it continues with Jane Doe. Irini’s vocals let the listener float with the song and instead of exploding with energy as before rather take a pensive mood. But Jane Doe is no less danceable, quickly making you wish for a foggy dance floor and just want to surrender to the song. Hatred as the third song stands out with its male vocals, of course, but also with the incredible complexity of the sound. Danceable, as always, but here you have to get the headphones out of the drawer at the latest, to experience the full spectrum of the song. Wonderfully intricate, with immense depth you can feel the hairs on your arms stand up. Careworn Face will already be known to most listeners, the song whose melody you can not escape but came with a wonderfully arranged video. Also with a great video and as impressive as its predecessor is Dance Of The Dark. Song number 6, Shrapnel Words creates a more uneasy mood to which the vocals are also suitably toned. The melody keeps you spellbound and yet the message of the song is uninterrupted. A great combination that makes the song very exciting. With Silver Veins we come to the quietest song, but track number seven is an intense piece of music despite or maybe because of its “lower” volume. Looking up at the endless starry sky, walking barefoot through a meadow during a summer thunderstorm, or feeling a kiss from a loved one on the back of your neck. Silver Veins is pure magic and emotion in the form of music. Cool and racy towards the dance floor it goes on with Lightwell. A bundle of energy that quickly manifests itself in the legs. As if made for the clubs. I Lick Rain has something hypnotic and convinces with many small interlacements and details that you have to explore. Best enjoyed with headphones again. The conclusion is My Only Land and the song forms yet another highlight. A wonderful melody that merges with the vocals and never leaves your head after listening.
We have deliberately touched on all the tracks only briefly in order not to spoil the surprise and wonderful experience that this album will offer you prematurely. We have heard the album at least forty times now and it doesn’t show the slightest signs of wear or that the songs lose class. The mixture of synths, 80s and darkwave with its wonderful arrangements, the melodies you don’t want to miss anymore, make the album an adventure. Listen to it loud, let the basses bang and dance! Take a pair of headphones and listen to the nuances and the wonderful vocals. The little hidden tones and close your eyes. You will be rewarded with pure energy that will fire your imagination. Have fun!
Of course we would like to point out that on the release day there is the possibility to see the duo live at the label festival “Cold Transmission Festival 2022” at the Blue Shell Club in Cologne with fantastic other bands. We have also heard that the new songs will be presented live. Don’t miss it!

Lip Led Scream ist das neuste Album von Incirrina und die Mega-Überaschung für 2022. Am 19.08.2022 ist es soweit!
Nach der dringend nötigen Sommerpause und Ferien in Europa, prasseln die Neuerscheinungen auf die Musikfans nieder. Bei der Auswahl an Musik ist es schwer den Überblick zu behalten und so manche großartige Veröffentlichung geht unbemerkt an einem vorbei. Ein Album hat es uns aber besonders angetan und wir sind froh, das wir vorab schon das komplette Album bis ins kleinste Detail genießen und Testen durften. Lip Led Scream mit seiner ganz besonderen Art hat sich sogar als unser Ferien und Urlaubs Soundtrack emporgehoben und alles andere hartnäckig verdrängt.
Das bereits 2017 gegründete Duo, bestehend aus George Katsanos und Irini Tini, zeigen schon mit dem Opener Not Live warum das Album ein musikalischer Leckerbissen ist. Der Sound klingt kühl, geizt nicht mit elektronischen Klängen und verfügt über einen Beat, der den Hörer ordentlich anstachelt. In Kombination mit dem auf den Punkt dosierten 80s Vibe erstellt das Duo einen rasanten Song, den man so schnell nicht wieder vergisst und als neuen Favoriten in die eigene Playlist schiebt. Nicht minder intensiv, doch etwas langsamer geht es mit Jane Doe weiter. Irini´s Vocals lassen den Hörer mit dem Song schweben und anstatt wie zuvor vor Energie zu explodieren eher eine nachdenkliche Stimmung einnehmen. Aber Jane Doe ist nicht minder tanzbar, schnell wünscht man sich eine nebelige Tanzfläche und möchte sich dem Song einfach nur hingeben. Hatred als dritter Song fällt natürlich mit seinen männlichen Vocals auf, aber auch durch die unglaubliche Komplexität des Sounds. Tanzbar, wie immer, aber hier muss man spätestens den Kopfhörer aus der Schublade holen um das ganze Spektrum des Songs zu erfahren. Wundervoll verschachtelt, mit immenser Tiefe spürt man wie sich die Haare auf den Armen hochstellen. Careworn Face wird den meisten Hörern bereits bekannt sein, kam der Song dessen Melodie man sich nicht entziehen kann doch mit einem wundervoll arrangierten Video daher. Ebenfalls mit tollem Video und so beeindruckend wie sein Vorgänger ist Dance Of The Dark. Song Nummer 6, Shrapnel Words schafft eine etwas unbehaglichere Stimmung, zu dem auch die Vocals passend toniert sind. Die Melodie hält einen in seinem Bann und trotzdem ist die Botschaft des Songs ununterbrochen zu spüren. Eine tolle Kombination, die den Song sehr aufregend macht. Mit Silver Veins kommen wir zum ruhigsten Song, doch Track Nummer sieben ist trotz oder gerade wegen seiner “geringeren” Lautstärke ein intensives Stück Musik. Ein Blick in den unendlichen Sternenhimmel, bei einem Sommergewitter Barfuß durch eine Wiese zu laufen oder ein Kuss eines geliebten Menschen im Nacken zu spüren. Silver Veins ist pure Magie und Emotion in Form von Musik. Kühl und rasant richtung Tanzfläche geht es dann mit Lightwell weiter. Ein Energiebündel das sich schnell in den Beinen manifestiert. Wie geschaffen für die Clubs. I Lick Rain hat etwas hypnotisches und überzeugt durch viele kleine Verschachtelungen und Details die man erkunden muss. Am besten wieder mit dem Kopfhörer genießen. Den Abschluss bildet My Only Land und der Song bildet noch ein weiteres Highlight. Eine wunderbare Melodie, die sich mit den Vocals verschmilzt und nach dem Hören nie wieder aus dem Kopf geht.
Wir haben bewusst die Titel alle nur kurz angerissen um euch die Überraschung und die wundervolle Erfahrung die euch dieses Album bieten wird nicht vorzeitig zu beeinträchtigen. Wir haben das Album nun bestimmt mindestens vierzig Mal gehört und es zeigt nicht im geringsten Abnutzungsspuren oder das die Songs an Klasse verlieren. Die Mischung aus Synths, 80s und Darkwave mit seinen wundervollen Arrangements, den Melodien die man nicht mehr vermissen möchte, machen das Album zu einem Abenteuer. Hört es euch laut an, lasst die Bässe knallen und tanzt! Nehmt euch einen Kopfhörer und lauscht den Nuancen und den wundervollen Vocals. Den kleinen versteckten Tönen und schließt die Augen. Ihr werdet belohnt mit purer Energie die eure Fantasie beflügeln wird. Viel Spaß!
