With Oceans Los Angeles master of dreamy post-punk with darkwave influences Vince Grant aka The Sea At Midnight is back and enchants the listeners once again.

The special thing about The Sea At Midnight’s songs is their ability to hit the listener right away. No matter if you are excited, angry, plagued with fatigue and stress or if it is early in the morning, in the evening or in the middle of the night, all songs free the listener from the dreary everyday life, bad situations or worries. Negative is dissolved, positive is strengthened. One feels familiarity and above all security in the songs, like a warm sea of notes and sounds that gives a gentle hold.

Oceans follows, like its predecessors, this rules and captivates you with the guitars that first gently circle around you to then in the chorus properly pick up speed. The bass and beat do their thing right from the first second, because after a few seconds the first foot bounces along to the music. Just a few seconds later you will start dancing and spinning around. The vocals bring a good portion of emotion into the song and round it off to a wonderful song. Vocals, that sound unique and you will remember them in every other song. Oceans captivates and remains deep in the memories, the song likes to recall in the appropriate situations and especially in today’s fast-paced times, it brings, despite its actually fast pace, some relaxing peace. Another song from Grant that leaves nothing to be desired. Except one wish, more songs!

Mit Oceans ist Los Angeles Meister des träumerischen Post-Punks mit Darkwave Einflüssen Vince Grant aka The Sea At Midnight zurück und verzaubert die Hörer ein weiteres Mal.

Das besondere an den Songs von The Sea At Midnight ist die Fähigkeit den Hörer auf Anhieb zu treffen. Egal ob man aufgeregt ist, sich ärgert, sich mit Müdigkeit und Stress plagt oder es früh am Morgen, Abends oder mitten in der Nacht ist, alle Songs befreien den Hörer vom tristen Alltag, den schlechten Situationen oder Sorgen. Negatives wird aufgelöst, positives verstärkt. Man fühlt Vertrautheit und vor allem Geborgenheit in den Songs, wie ein warmes Meer aus Noten und Klängen das einen sanften Halt gibt.

Oceans folgt, wie seine Vorgänger, dem Beispiel und fesselt einen mit den Gitarren die erst sanft um einen kreisen um dann im Refrain ordentlich an Fahrt aufnehmen. Der Bass und Beat machen ihre Sache von der ersten Sekunde richtig, denn nach wenigen Sekunden wippt der erste Fuß zur Musik mit und man möchte spätestens beim ersten Refrain sich tanzend drehen und mitsingen. Die Vocals bringen nochmals eine ordentliche Portion Emotionen mit in den Song und runden ihn zum großartigen Song ab. Vocals, die ihren ganz eigenen Stil und hohen Wiedererkennungswert haben. Oceans fesselt und bleibt tief in den Erinnerungen, der Song ruft sich gerne in den passenden Situationen zurück und gerade in der heutigen schnelllebigen Zeit bringt er, trotz seines eigentlich schnellen Tempos etwas entspannende Ruhe. Ein weiterer Song aus dem Hause Grant, der keine Wünsche übrig lässt. Außer einen Wunsch, bitte mehr davon.
